The Ashdown RM-500-EVO is a Class D bass amplifier head delivering 500 watts into a 4-ohm load, engineered with hybrid electronics to produce a tone that avoids the clinical edge often associated with Class D designs. Its front panel offers a 5-band EQ spanning Bass (100Hz), Lo Mid (240Hz), Middle (660Hz), Hi Mid (1.5kHz), and Treble (7kHz shelving), each with ±15dB of cut or boost. Onboard processing includes a one-knob compressor, valve-emulated overdrive drive control, and a sub-harmonic generator for added low-end depth — all switchable independently. Connectivity covers passive and active instrument inputs, a line input, effects loop, balanced DI output, tuner output, and a rear headphone output, alongside two Speakon/jack combo speaker outputs.
