Selling my Pearl Mimic Pro drum module, in original box with original power supply. Recently serviced by an approved Pearl engineer. I used Roland V-Drums in the past but when I discovered this it immediately became my favourite e-drum module. It sounds more real and natural than anything I've ever used, with none of the machine-gun obviously fake snare problems or weird "tom toms don't sound like that" unnaturalness of some other manufacturer's products. It's powered by Steven Slate Drums samples which you've heard on countless hit records, whether you know it or not.

Selling for two reasons - first, I find myself demoing with virtual instruments much more now, and it seemed like a waste to have such a powerful module acting as just a trigger to midi interface. And second, I think there is a certain "Slate" sound which is fantastic for rock and metal and other powerful music but doesn't cater quite so readily to quirkier indie-type fare, which is the area I find myself in a bit more. Don't get me wrong, I love me some drums that sound like Andy Wallace mixed them which is why I chose this module in the first place. But lately I find myself needing to get more lo-fi, which you _can_ do with a Mimic, but it's not its strongest suit.

Not going to do a video of me playing it, because there's loads of people on YouTube extolling the virtues of this excellent module. Try the 65Drums review below, which is honest but ultimately glowing - "...this thing has SO MUCH going for it, it's an absolutely incredible drum module".

Btw, unlike some modules, there's an official application to create your own multi-samples, which is amazingly useful, if you want to take some sounds you created on an acoustic kit in the studio out on the road on your e-kit. I have it somewhere, if you can't find it online, let me know when you win the auction and I can have a look on my hard drives.
