A lovely example of a late-'70s Martin D12-18, built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and offering everything you'd hope for from a vintage Martin 12-string.

The combination of a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides gives this guitar a beautifully balanced voice, with plenty of sparkle and shimmer from the octave strings while retaining the warmth and punch that makes the D12-18 such a popular model. Open chords sound huge and rich, while fingerpicked passages have a wonderfully detailed, piano-like quality.

Vintage Martin 12-strings have become increasingly sought after over recent years, particularly clean examples that haven't suffered the structural issues often associated with older 12-string acoustics. This one remains in superb condition and is a fantastic player as well as a genuinely collectable piece of Martin history.

Condition

Superb condition for a guitar approaching 50 years old. The guitar has been exceptionally well cared for throughout its life and presents beautifully. There are only light signs of age and use consistent with a vintage instrument, with no significant damage, repairs or structural concerns evident. The neck is straight, the frets remain in excellent shape and it plays comfortably with a healthy action.
