There’s something about a played in Les Paul Studio that just makes sense. No frills, no unnecessary flash, killer tone, and the kind of feel that keeps you reaching for it over guitars that cost twice as much.
This 2007 Gibson Les Paul Studio is a perfect example. Finished in classic Wine Red, it delivers everything you want from a proper Les Paul: a carved maple top, mahogany body, set neck construction, and that unmistakable thick, singing sustain that made the model a rock and roll icon.
Plugged in, the humbuckers serve up everything from warm, articulate cleans to snarling classic rock crunch and full-bore modern gain tones without breaking a sweat. Whether you're chasing blues, hard rock, punk, metal, or anything in between, this guitar feels right at home.
The neck is comfortable and fast without feeling overly slim in classic Gibson style, while the tight grain rosewood fingerboard finishes it off. Acoustically the guitar is lively and resonant, with plenty of sustain that reminds you you're holding the real thing.
Condition wise the guitar is in very good condition with honest signs of use commensurate with age. Expect the sort of cosmetic wear you'd want to see on a guitar that's spent some of its life being played rather than hidden away in a case. Theres nothing that detracts from its performance, just character earned over nearly two decades with a few dings here and there, a minor impression at the top strap button and some very minor nitro wear to the back of the neck between the 5th & 7th fret (see images for detail). The frets remain in good shape, the electronics function correctly, and the guitar plays exactly as a Les Paul Studio should resonant, punchy and inspiring.
If you've been looking for a no-nonsense USA-made Les Paul that delivers the goods without the Gibson price tag, this 2007 Studio is exactly the sort of guitar that tends to disappear quickly once people get it in their hands.
A proper workhorse, with all the tone, feel, and attitude you'd expect.
