All working and functioning, Vintage 1960s Hammond L-100 & Leslie 147 Cabinet Combo – Authentic British Rock Heritage The Small Faces/Faces And Ronnie Lanes Slim Chance.

Product Description

Up for sale is an absolute powerhouse of British rock-and-roll history: a vintage Hammond L-100 Tonewheel Organ paired with its ultimate sonic partner, a Leslie Type 147 Rotating Speaker Cabinet.

This isn't a pristine, pristine-living-room piece—this is a fully authentic, roadworn setup dripping with genuine rock heritage. Coming directly out of the historic gear collection of legendary drummer Kenney Jones (The Small Faces, The Faces, The Who), this exact combination was a workhorse during the iconic Small Faces era and Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance era.

📜 The History & Heritage

This rig has spent decades doing exactly what it was built to do: making incredible music. This rig was used on tour throughout the 60s and used in the studio to record the many legendary Small Faces songs we all love and know. It has survived the grueling demands of the road, lived through intense studio sessions, handled major tour runs, and filled everything from massive stages to tight, smoky club rooms. Because of its incredible grit, warmth, and reliable tone, it’s the exact kind of setup favored and shared by countless world-class artists of the era. It wears its battle scars proudly—every scratch, scuff, and patch of finish wear tells the story of classic tracks recorded and live shows played.

The scratches on the back mark teen love messages to Steve especially.

🔊 The Setup

The Hammond L-100: A legendary, compact tonewheel classic. It delivers that unmistakable, aggressive vintage growl, sharp percussion, and smooth drawbar control that defined the 60s and 70s rock and mod scenes. Perfect for players who need the authentic Booker T Stax style tonewheel sound in a footprint that actually fits into smaller studio spaces and local stages.

The Leslie Type 147 Cabinet: The undisputed king of "sound-in-motion." Driven by its classic tube amplifier, the top horn and bottom bass rotor spin beautifully, delivering that rich, swirling, three-dimensional chorus and legendary warm overdrive. The rear panel still carries its original vintage paper label detailing the classic control layouts, adding a stunning piece of visual history to the back of the cabinet.

🛠️ Condition Note

This rig is being sold in its gorgeous, beautifully aged, road-tested condition. The cabinets show heavy cosmetic wear, scratches, and character marks from years on the tour circuit—giving it a priceless vintage vibe that modern "relic" jobs could never replicate. The organ includes its bass pedals at the bottom. Internally, the Leslie features its classic tube amp chassis, spinning horn, and heavy-duty bass driver intact.

Whether you are looking for the ultimate centerpiece for a recording studio, a gigging vintage rig with an unbeatable pedigree, or a true piece of British rock history, this Hammond and Leslie combo delivers vibes and tone in spades.
