I bought this bass from a reputable music shop in New York in 2004.
It had a set of Bartolini pickups in it which I didn’t like, so I replaced them with standard Jazz pickups, I think they were Fender ‘62 reissue ones but I can’t be certain.
I’m also not convinced it’s the original colour, it might have been blonde, you can see paint underneath the blue where it’s rubbed away in several places. I personally loved the blue colour.
It’s in used condition, a few dinks but it sounds amazing and plays beautifully.
I’m only selling because it needs to be played, not hung on my wall.
It comes with a battered old Fender jazz case which’ll keep it safe during transit.
