Jumbo Body with Solid Top and Flame Maple Back and Sides

The J40SCE features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with stunning flame maple for the back and sides. The flame maple body naturally tightens the immense low-end of the jumbo shape, adding high-end clarity and definition into every note.

Modern Playability

The body features a deep Venetian cutaway providing easy access to the upper frets, great for players wanting to add some single note lines within the acoustic playing, whilst the satin-finished Mahogany neck keeps transition work incredibly fluid and smooth. Topping the neck is an ovangkol fingerboard which hosts dot inlays and 20 frets.

Fishman Presys+ Electronics

Washburn have equipped the J40SCE with  a premium Fishman 501T preamp system, making it easy to get a great plugged in sound. The preamp features 3-band EQ, brilliance, notch, and phase controls, and a handy, highly accurate onboard LED tuner
