The Gibson L-00, a small-body guitar originally developed in the 1930s, holds a significant place in guitar history.  The L-00 Standard model aims to recapture the essence of these classic instruments, offering players a balanced tone and surprising projection for its size.

The L-00 Standard features a solid Sitka spruce top, known for its clarity and responsiveness.  The back and sides are crafted from mahogany, contributing warmth and richness to the overall sound.  Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing further enhances the top's vibration, contributing to the guitar's projection and resonance.  The guitar is finished with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, a classic finish that allows the wood to breathe and age gracefully.

The slim taper mahogany neck offers a comfortable playing experience, while the rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius provides a smooth surface for fretting.  The 24.75-inch scale length is a standard Gibson scale, and the 19 standard frets are easily accessible.  Mother-of-pearl dot inlays mark the fret positions on the rosewood fingerboard.  A black nut and Tusq saddle contribute to the guitar's clear tone.

The L-00 Standard is equipped with Mini Grover Rotomatic tuning machines for reliable tuning stability.  The rectangle closed slot bridge and Tusq bridge pins further enhance the guitar's resonance and sustain.  A classic L-00 pickguard protects the top from pick scratches.

For amplified performance, the L-00 Standard includes an LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup with volume and tone controls discreetly located in the soundhole. This system provides a natural amplified tone, suitable for stage and studio use. The guitar comes strung with .012-.053 gauge strings.

The L-00 Standard comes with a hardshell case for safe storage and transport, and includes a Gibson Accessory Kit.
