Crookwood 32 Channel Mic Pre with MADI and AES outputs. In excellent Condition.
The Crookwood 32 Channel Mic Pre is a very high quality professional remote controlled mic amp, widely regarded as the most neutral mic amp available. Comes with analogue, AES and MADI outputs. Made by the renowned Crookwood company in Wiltshire, UK. These are some of the best mic amps I have ever used and the integrated A/D to conversion is of the highest order. It comes in a heavy duty flightcase with silent fan cooling. Optional fibre links are available at additional cost. This is a very rare unit and has been the heart of my recording company. I am selling very reluctantly as I am now retired. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS MUST CONTACT ME FOR SHIPPING COSTS!
"The MultiPre is a versatile 4U 19″ rack based multichannel microphone preamp. It is remote controllable, and all settings can be stored and recalled. It uses the exact same preamp card as the Paintpot, famed for it’s neutral and accurate sound.
It’s a modular system, and you can fit up to 32 channels of pre into a 4U rack [this unit has 28 fitted]. As well as the main analogue outputs, it has analogue split outputs, AES outputs and MADI IO on fiber and coax.
All analogue connections are via XLRS, making it easy and quick to connect up and use.
Uniquely, it is primarily a quality mic preamp, with digital IO, not a soundcard box with a set of cheap preamps added to the front end. This gives it a much more accurate sound with real mics."
