Listed is my AC30 Hand-wired head and matching cabinet with Alnico blue speakers. Circa 2010.
Finished in beautiful fawn coloured tolex, just like the very first AC30s, this amp has the quintessential Vox sound. With ‘normal‘ and ‘top boost’ channels and a bypass-able master volume, it can operate just like the original 60s models. It also has some modern improvements including a bright switch on the normal channel, adding even more chime and jangle, and a foot-switchable ‘hot‘ and ‘cool’ mode on the top boost channel, allowing you to go from clean to dirty without the need for any pedals. If you are a fan of pedals however, this amp is a brilliant platform, particularly on the normal channel. Taking gain pedals better than many vintage AC30s I’ve played.
Aside from looking great, the separate head and cab have a real practical advantage of splitting the weight, making it much easier to transport without hurting your back!
The only reason I’m selling is that I’ve downgraded to the exact same model of AC15 due to space restrictions. This is a really great amp!
It’s always been stored and transported in it‘s flight cases, so it’s in remarkably good condition for it‘s age, with just a couple of dings and one slightly warped air vent (both pictured).
This listing includes the original foot switch and dust covers, power cable, speaker cable, and NSP flight cases worth £630.
