Based on Epiphone's legendary EJ-200, the Ltd. Ed. "EJ-200 Artist" features the same "Jumbo" body as the original with a select spruce top with hand-scalloped bracing for superior tone along with select maple back and sides which not only support the top but also help amplify its classic full-bodied tone.
The body has 6-layer black and white binding and the easy-to-play hard maple neck has a 25.5" scale length with medium frets with a 1960s SlimTaper profile that makes playing chords and rhythm easy. The hand-glued dovetail neck joint also contributes to the EJ-200 Artist's deep rich bass, clear mids, and brilliant highs that fill a room with jumbo-sized projection and volume. The solid rosewood fingerboard is fully bound and inlaid with pearloid dot inlays for a simple but elegant look. Its reverse belly rosewood bridge has a compensated saddle for solid intonation and tone
