This is a pair of Langevin EQ255-B low-pass filter modules with original knobs. Often mounted in combination with the EQ255-A high-pass filter.
The EQ255-B is a passive stepped filter with 600Ω input impedance and 600Ω output impedance, virtually identical to the Altec 9068B, with 11 steps, based on capacitors and inductors. Using a different impedance on the output will change the resonance at the cut-off frequency for some very useful enhanced EQ effects.
These kind of units have connections to the sound of Motown and Art davis.
