There’s a warmth and depth here that only old wood and time can produce. The fundamental is strong, the low end is thick without ever getting muddy and there’s a dry, woody punch that sits perfectly in a mix. It’s the classic Precision voice, familiar and reassuring, with that slightly gritty edge when you lean in. Exactly what you want from a mid 70s example.

It’s been played, as it should be. The finish shows honest wear with the sort of marks and dings you expect from a bass that’s lived a life, not sat in a case. The pickguard has developed some age related warping, adding to the character. Frets were replaced in 2025 so it plays cleanly up and down the neck with no issues, ready for another few decades of work.
