Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Fat ‘60s Pickups Stratocaster - New!
For your consideration is this fully loaded Fender Stratocaster pickguard assembly featuring a set of Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘60s pickup.
I built this pickguard assembly for a Fender partscaster that I put together a couple of years ago but it was another one of those projects that evolves when you procrastinate on decision making, and then before you know it, it ends up completely different to what you originally intended.
So, since that particular guitar was taken apart to sell off the neck and body, the pickguard assembly ended up homeless, and here it is.
Full specification of parts used:
* Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Fat ‘60s Pickups
* Fender ‘50s Style single-ply 8-hole pickguard
* Fender Pure Vintage ‘60s pickup covers, knobs, switch tip
* Fender aged white trem tip
* CRL 5-Way Pickup selector switch
* Fender ‘50s style shielding plate
* 2x CTS 250k Split shaft potentiometers
* 1x Alpha 250k potentiometer with push-push switch (same as on Fender Ultra)
* 1x Fender Hot Rod .05MFD 150V tone capacitor
* 1x copper plated steel baseplate on bridge pickup
* Gavitt cloth covered push back 22AWG wire
* Fender nickel plated switch mounting screws
The push-push switch is wired to add in the neck pickup to achieve the extra two pickup combinations of neck and bridge, and all three pickups on together.
