Selling my Fender Jazz Bass - 5 String in Midnight Wine Red finish.
There is a battery compartment on the back, so if you want install active pickups it’s all ready.
I originally swapped out the bridge with a high quality black brass bridge, as well as the tuning pegs but I’ve put the original stuff back on. I can post the black brass bridge separately if you’d prefer (I won’t put this in the Hardcase in case it damages the bass)
This has upgraded Japanese made Gotoh tuners on it.
I replaced the white pickguard and metal control plate with all black for a blackout look. I don’t know where the originals are, but if I find them I’ll post them too.
I’ve put brand new strings on it and detuned it so there will be less pressure on the neck during transit.
Shipped in a new Hardcase.
No issues. A few dings on the finish and lacquer crack near the neck joint which is expected from instruments this old that have been played a lot.
I’ve added old pics of what the bass looked like with the black bridge and tuners too.
