Tama Mini Timbales 1980s

Mo swears these once lived bolted to the side of a fusion drummerÕs kit in 1984, just waiting for the dramatic break before the synth solo. We canÕt verify thatÉ but they certainly sound the part.

This is a genuine vintage Tama ÒThe Quality DrumÓ mini timbales set, made in Taiwan in the earlyÐmid 1980s. Compact 8Ó and 10Ó steel shells with that classic bright, cutting timbale crack Ñ perfect as a kit add-on, studio percussion piece, or for tight, punchy Latin accents.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall. Light cosmetic wear to chrome consistent with age. Heads show use but remain playable. No structural issues.

These are not full-size salsa timbales Ñ theyÕre much tighter and higher pitched. Think:
