Soundcraft 6000 input strips - tested & working. A lot of four strips each with classic British mic pre / EQ etc. Comes supplied with one four channel input panel (with mic in / line in / direct out & insert), main interconnecting ribbon cable & power supply interface PCB for connecting the ribbon to suitable power supply. All the jacks are standard 1/4” and the direct outs are unbalanced.

Apart from a suitable power supply (which you will need to source), these are ready to work as standalone mic pre / EQ strips (using the ‘line out‘ on each strip).

I can also supply a different power supply interface PCB (shown in the last picture) for an additional cost. This connects to the ribbon cable, supplies necessary power rails but also takes the mix left & right buss, feeds them into two virtual earth mix amps each of which drives a small power amp & two output transformers (giving you balanced mix left and right output with plenty of transformer colour). If you require this PCB please get in touch to discuss. Additionally I could potentially design a similar board to balance each of the ‘line outs’ & add some transformer colour to those - please contact me to discuss….

I have tested each strip and they all work / pass audio. I haven’t tested the aux sends or all the routing as none of that is connected when used as standalone mic pre / EQ strip. I’ve not re capped them as I tested a few of the electrolytics from places where there under most stress (randomly selected strips) & they all measured fine. If you were to re cap them, it would need to be with very high quality caps to make a positive difference IMO.

Please note: while I have tested each strip & cleaned anything that needed it they are old strips so there might be a slightly noisy pot or switch (which is to be expected with desks of this age).

They require a dual rail regulated power supply with ideally +/-17v rails but would probably run off +/-15~16v (with a slight reduction in headroom). If you want to use the phantom power, you will also need your power supply to have a regulated +48v rail (With the 0v connected to the 0v / ground on the supplied PCB). The four strips pull about 170mA idle (at +/-17v).

Due to the input panel being 4 channel I’ll only sell them in multiples of four (unless you don’t need the input panel). I will shorty be adding an ‘8 strip‘ version of this listing. I have hundreds of these & other vintage soundcraft strips, including sidecars, baby mixers, 8 chan Mic Pre & EQ, summing mixers etc which I will be listing this year.

The strips do have some cosmetic imperfections (mostly some scratches / marks etc) & some slight surface rust to the washers under the ‘pot nuts’ but generally there in pretty good condition for there age. Please see all the photos.

Any questions please ask.
