Marshall JCM 800 Dan Gower Modded 2203

For sale is my Dan Gower modded JCM 800 2203.

If you're reading this listing, you likely know what this amp is. It started life as an early 2000's JCM 800 2203 model. It was modified by Dan Gower in 2019 to add a number of upgrades:
1. His "Rockmonster" mod which adds additional gain stages, tonal characteristics, regulated DC heaters, etc. More gain than you could ever use, massive harmonic depth, sounds utterly superb and very responsive - cleans up on roll off perfectly

2. Dedicated, footswitchable clean channel as a completely separate circuit. Bags of glassy headroom.

The added benefit of his mods are that you don't have to crank the amp to 11 to get the tone, feel, and saturation. It sounds sensational at "bedroom" volumes and only gets better as you turn it up.

I'm reluctant to post this unless the buyer pays for shipping and insurance and accepts full responsibility due to its weight and the fact it is full of valves. Collection is encouraged from near Chelmsford, Essex where you're more than welcome to try it before you commit. Happy to travel and meet somewhere also.

A truly superb amp and the only reason for sale is to make some room in my office! I'll be sad to see it go.

This amp has been gigged a reasonable amount. Functionally perfect, and in fantastic condition, except for some mild signs of wear on the tolex. But no nasty noises, or significant tolex rips.
