An absolutely stunning Gibson Arch Top L1 from 1917. This guitar was renovated at the Gibson factory back in the 70’s, where it got a new finish, bridge, tuners, a refret and trapeze tail piece and is since then in an absolutely fantastic condition. There is something very special, about playing a Gibson, that is over a hundred years old. There is history in an instrument like this and you can really hear it and feel it. The neck profile is thick with a V profile that fits your hand like a glove and is is really comfortable. That together, with a low string height, makes for a guitar that is really easy to play. The sound is warm yet clear, responsive and balanced. It has a spruce top with mahogany on the back and sides. The bound mahogany neck has an ebony fretboard and the headstock is sporting a "The Gibson" script logo. A wonderful guitar.
