No x-Over, Exceptional Condition, Sounds perfect as it should (Not far off from the sound of a red or silver which had similar fairly stiff cone surrounds) 

History: This unit was built in the late 1960's and had been mounted by the factory in a vintage Lancaster cab.

It was front mounted on a plywood 12" sub baffle over a 15" aperture, hence Tannoy never fitted a felt gaskets to the front of the rim. MainlyTannoy sell the gasket material. I still have the sub baffle, may sell it for a reasonable offer.

This speaker is ideal for the owner of similar vintage Gold drive units as spare/replacement of a defective driver in a matching pair. When you re-cone or re-diaphragm one speaker of a matched pair with retro parts, chances are it will cause an audible mismatch. If your cone number is 26 310 011 this speaker will sound the exactly the same as yours as long as your HF diaphragm is original.
