Fredric have used the highly regarded Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer compressor as the starting point for the Zesty Comp. This pedal is not about smooth, subtle compression, it''s squashy, pronounced and distinctive and can be seen as more of an effect.
Use the input gain knob to compensate for weaker or single coil pickups - the hotter the input signal, the more it gets compressed. Turn the input gain up for super squishy compression. The Zesty comp can also be used as a boost for solos - with the slightest bit of grit when turned up, it makes for a very musical boost.
Fredric Effects is owned by the two guitarists of London alt rock band The Sailplanes, and focus on naught but recreating vintage boutique effects at a highly affordable price, while ensuring the most supreme of build qualities that last the test of time!
