The official Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster Scratchplate/Pickguard Shielding Plate keeps your electronics shielded from interference and the design details bring a vintage correct appointment to your guitar.

Made in their vintage plate style (rather than the thinner modern adhesive sheet), this 2.8 mm (.011") thick plate is simply mounted between the controls and the underside of the plate to ground the controls and help shield the electronics from noise (no wiring necessary as it will ground to the pots). No gluing or adhesive necessary. All the pickup routes and control holes are pre-cut in the plate for a quick and easy fit.

It is designed specifically for their American Vintage ’62 Stratocaster guitar with the bass side middle mounting screw hole (second from top) located further away from the pickup than on their subsequent models. Please note it will not fit modern style scratchplate/pickguards.
