Good MPC in good working order.
It has the 8 out expansion and the FX card.
Screen is OK, feels a little dim to me - but I think that is how they were back in the day though. Apparently replacing the screen is super easy anyway.
Cosmetically this is a bit rough with scratches & blemishes to paintwork throughout. I will try to cover most angles with pictures.
When I first got this, the noise of the unit was quite noticeable so I removed the large internal drive and replaced it with an SSD (120gb) which works fine. I also replaced the rear ventilation fan with a 'silent' fan, which isn't silent but it is far better. The replacement fan come with kind of rubber 'feet'.
Re: USB - I actually never even tested if this works, but I will do as I update this listing. I think it will be working fine.
All buttons and switches are fully tested/used/working.
The actual drum pads all work. I think the guy before me had done something like clean the tact switches or something. They feel very soft (which is nice imo) and they work - including velocity.
The ideal buyer for this would be someone who knows about it and is comfortable opening her up and messing about with things like; adding a brand new screen, upgrading the SSD, upgrading the rear fan if desired etc.
Re: the CD drive - I am going to describe that as 'not working'. I couldn't be bothered using it and when I did - and it didn't work - I couldn't be arsed investigating further because Im rarely going to need it for anything.
Looking at the pictures, it appears the SCSI port has some kind of damage and /or has taken a knock. I have never used or tested it, but am going to describe it here as 'broken'.
All the ins and outs work nicely, I had used them all making beats and there were no dodgy noises or static etc. I was regularly sampling using the analogue ins.
This machine is HUGE and is 25 years old, so it needs someone who knows what a beast it is that they are taking on and preferably someone who has had/used one in the past. I dont want the buyer to not know what they are getting and send it back. This is a working machine but it is older technology that doesn't have some of the modern workflow luxuries that we are all used to.
UK & PAYPAL.
I will send it insured, or collect is ok.
