For sale is a rare Realistic Concertmate MG-1. Designed and manufactured by Moog in the early 1980s, rebadged for Radio Shack.
This is a great sounding analogue synthesiser with a classic Moog filter and two oscillators. It also has an additional polyphonic organ-style voice.
It’s in good working condition, with signs of wear and age across the keys and the chassis.
Some controls have had their fader caps replaced by a previous owner, and the power supply uses a removable IEC cable (which is different from some other examples of these I have seen, so possibly not original).
As far as I can tell, everything else is original with no further modifications.
The controls are all functional, but it could do with a service to sort out some slight crackling on a few of them. The unit hums when powered on, which I assume is just the internal PSU, as it does not affect the audio output.
I have only used the front jack output on the unit, so unfortunately I can‘t confirm if all the rear connectors are working.
Collection preferred, but can offer local delivery or a courier service at extra cost.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
