The Stroud Piano Company was established in New York in 1911.  A part of the illustrious Aeolian Piano Company, Stroud built a full line of upright and grand pianos which were quite successful.  Stroud also produced several lines of upright player pianos and grand player pianos under the “Stroud Pianola” label.  Stroud was sold along side Aeolian brand player pianos as an affordable alternative to the costlier Aeolian brand name, while offering comparable quality. Stroud pianos and player pianos were very well built, durable instruments.  After the Great Depression hit in 1929, Aeolian began building small upright and baby grand pianos under the Stroud brand name. The Stroud name was discontinued by World War II.

Buyer is welcome to try the piano. It has not been tuned since a recent house move. Downsizing means selling.

Buyer will need to arrange collection from Lewes, East Sussex BN7
