This is a really solid 3kVA 115 volt transformer, built to order for Hans Zimmer during the recording of his 1995 score for 'Beyond Rangoon' at Snake Ranch studios in Chelsea. Hans brought his mobile studio rig to the UK for this score and needed a bullet proof transformer to run the kit. After a couple of days the rented transformers in plastic cases had melted, so this unit was built in a steel case with suitable vents to prevent overheating. If you have some high voltage US kit to run in the UK, then this is for you.
The case shows the inevitable signs of wear & tear, but the unit is fully functioning. It is extremely heavy, so I'd prefer any prospective purchaser to collect from north Acton. I will also consider personal delivery to the west of London, subject to discussion.
