The Keeley Electronics Synth-1 Wave Generator is a creative guitar effects pedal that transforms your instrument into a synth-like sound source, producing everything from thick, fuzzy electronic tones to dramatic reverse-style volume swells and glitchy, experimental effects. Its selectable waveforms deliver a distinctive range of sounds, making it ideal for musicians looking to explore new sonic textures and push beyond conventional guitar tones.

The Level control adjusts the overall output, while the Attack knob shapes how quickly the effect builds, ranging from sharp, immediate synth sounds to slow, atmospheric swells. The Blend control mixes the original guitar signal with the generated synth tone, and the Filter control allows you to shape the character and brightness of the effect. A Chaos switch introduces unpredictable pitch and triggering variations for more unusual, experimental sounds.

An expression pedal can be connected to control the filter in real time, adding expressive, wah-like tonal sweeps. With its three selectable waveforms, true-bypass switching and top-mounted input and output jacks, the Synth-1 is a versatile addition to an experimental guitarist's pedalboard.
