Hudson Electronics Motorcycle Overdrive - Boxed - Excellent - Free UK Postage

I'm selling my Hudson Motorcycle, part of a special run for Joe's Pedals in 2024.

It has had extremely light home use and has been on a pedalboard only briefly (and you can see from the photos the condition it is in and the care taken to remove the Dual Lock).

The Motorcycle is a modified version of our Sidecar overdrive pedal – our take on the soft clipping overdrive circuit with the added versatility of a powerful two band EQ which draws inspiration from a vintage recording console. The Motorcycle has been tuned to give more distortion in the lower frequencies and the EQ a different response. It also adds a transformer at the end of the signal chain to soften the attack and generate a subtle layer of saturation to the signal.

• High-Performance, High-Fidelity Audio Operational Amplifier
• A pair of Germanium diodes
• BI potentiometers
• Heavy duty Alpha foot switches (rated for >30,000 cycles)
• Individually hand-built on to a high-quality PCB, assembled, hand-wired, tested and packaged all by Michael Hudson
• Transformer coupled output for increase low end saturation

DRIVE – Regulates how hard the pedal is driven.

BASS – Adjusts the low end content of the signal, +/- 15 dB at 165 Hz (shelving).

TREBLE – Adjusts the high end content of the signal, +/- 15 dB at 10 kHz (shelving).

LEVEL – Sets the overall output.

POWER: A standard 9-24 volt DC regulated power supply with a 2.1mm negative tip barrel. Running at higher voltages will give you more headroom, less distortion and less compression and sag. This is perfect for use on bass, baritone and low tuned guitars.
