Kala KA-SA-T Solid Acacia Tenor Ukulele

The Kala KA-SA-T Solid Acacia Tenor Ukulele brings rich, organic warmth and striking visual grain to players stepping up from entry-level instruments.

Constructed entirely from solid acacia, this tenor-scale ukulele delivers a deep, resonant voice with impressive sustain that only improves as the wood matures through regular playing. It is a dependable choice for intermediate and gigging musicians looking for professional acoustic performance and a comfortable playing feel.

Acacia shares a close kinship with koa, offering a balanced acoustic profile characterised by a bright, clear top-end supported by a woody mid-range.

The larger tenor body size provides increased projection and deeper low-end response compared to smaller concert or soprano formats, making it well suited for fingerstyle arrangements and vocal accompaniment alike.

All-Solid Construction

The defining feature of this model is its all-solid wood build. Both the soundboard and the back and sides consist of solid acacia, allowing the instrument to resonate freely without the acoustic limitations imposed by laminate alternatives. As the wood breaks in over time, the tone opens up further, developing richer overtones and greater dynamic depth.

Slotted Headstock and Traditional Appointments

Drawing on classic luthier traditions, the slotted headstock adds subtle mass to the neck while altering string break angle across the nut for enhanced resonance. Elegant maple binding frames the body, adding structural durability and a clean aesthetic contrast against the figured wood grain.

Comfortable Playability

The mahogany neck provides a stable foundation, shaped for a comfortable grip during long practice sessions or live sets. Topped with a smooth rosewood fingerboard featuring 18 frets, it offers ample room for navigating complex chord voicings and melodic passages further up the neck.

Graph Tech NuBone nuts and saddles ensure optimal string vibration transfer and tuning stability, while factory-fitted Aquila Super Nylgut strings deliver reliable intonation right out of the box.
