A beautiful 2023 Taylor GT Urban Ash, handmade in El Cajon, California, USA, and supplied with its original premium Taylor soft case.

The GT (Grand Theater) was designed to sit between a full-sized acoustic and a compact travel guitar, giving you a wonderfully comfortable instrument without sacrificing the feel or response you'd expect from a proper Taylor. Its slightly reduced dimensions and shorter scale make it incredibly easy to play, whether you're sitting at home, recording or playing for extended periods.

This model pairs a solid spruce top with solid Urban Ash back and sides. Urban Ash was sourced from Shamel ash trees removed from municipal areas in Southern California, giving Taylor an unusual locally sourced tonewood with plenty of character. The back of this particular guitar has some especially attractive figuring.

Internally, the GT uses Taylor's C-Class bracing, developed specifically for the smaller Grand Theater body to help produce greater warmth, volume and low-end response than you'd normally expect from an acoustic of this size.

The guitar has a clean, understated appearance with its natural spruce top, dark binding, eucalyptus fingerboard, distinctive GT inlays, tortoiseshell-style pickguard and Taylor-branded machine heads.

This example presents beautifully and has clearly been very well cared for, with only minimal evidence of previous use.

The GT Urban Ash is a particularly interesting chapter in Taylor's history, with the Urban Ash model now discontinued. It's an extremely comfortable American-made acoustic with a surprisingly full voice for its compact dimensions.
