About This Model

The Kenwood KX-3010 is a 2-head, single compact cassette deck built around a two-motor mechanism and HX-PRO recording system. It supports all three major tape formulations - Type I (Normal), CrO2, and Metal - and offers both Dolby B and Dolby C noise reduction, achieving a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 73 dB with Metal tape and Dolby C engaged. Frequency response extends to 18 kHz with Metal tape, and wow and flutter is kept to a tight 0.08% W.R.M.S. The deck operates in single direction with a fast winding time of approximately 90 seconds for a C-60 cassette. Line-level inputs and outputs are provided alongside a headphone output, making it straightforward to integrate into a traditional hi-fi separates system.
