• 12 x M2.5 stainless steel washers for each of the above.

The 6, 8, 10 & 12mm bolts are perfect for mounting the majority of cartridges on the market. The 16 & 20mm bolts are included for the deeper bodied cartridges and the M2 bolts (10mm & 16mm) are included for the majority of Thorens headshells.

To get the best performance from your equipment it is imperative to ensure that the cartridge is correctly fitted to the headshell making sure you always use the shortest bolts that will accommodate your cartridge / headshell combination. The socket head on the bolts allows for easy tightening with the supplied Allen keys.

Please note that the parts in this mounting kit are manufactured from high strength stainless steel not aluminium since many cartridge manufacturers specifically advise against the use of aluminium. For example the installation instructions for Ortofon 2M cartridges clearly states ''Never over tighten screws and never use aluminium screws, as they can get stuck in the threaded holes of the mounting plate''.

 
The weight of stainless steel bolts versus aluminium or other materials is also irrelevant since you should always adjust the counterweight at the rear of the arm to ensure that you have set the correct Vertical Tracking Force (VTF) recommended for your cartridge and stylus.
