For sale is my Klark Teknik KT-2A analogue valve optical compressor/levelling amplifier.

The KT-2A is Klark Teknik’s take on the classic LA-2A style compressor, using a fully discrete signal path, valve amplification and an optical compression circuit.

It’s a very simple and musical compressor to use, particularly suited to vocals, bass, guitars and general tracking duties, where smooth level control and some analogue valve character are wanted.

The unit uses 12AX7, 12BH7 and EL84 valves, along with MIDAS-designed input and output transformers.

Condition

The unit is fully working and in very good cosmetic condition, as shown in the photographs.

It has been used as part of a professional audio setup and has been well looked after. There may be some very minor signs of use/rack mounting, but overall it presents very well.

Selling as it is no longer required.
