Beautiful 3/4 violin by Mirecourt Violin "Dulcis et Fortis". Great sound and absolutely ideal beginner instrument or for those with hand issues who prefer a smaller stretch. In lovely antique condition considering its age (looks like it's hardly being played). These violins are considered good quality and to find one in such lovely condition at a bargain price is rare.

J.T.L. (Jerôme Thibouville-Lamy) violins from Mirecourt, France, are world famous for their high quality. J.T.L. was a site where violin making that had been knowledge acquired over generations was strategically utilized. The knowledge that outstanding violin makers brought to the company is one key reason for the reputation for the high quality of its violins. Their violins were made to exacting standards leading to a uniform degree of high-quality craftsmanship. They produced a huge range of models suitable for both students and professionals. JTL violins high quality is a result of the use of the slow grown, close and straight grain, of the spruce wood from the surrounding alpine Vosges mountains that was historically available in abundance, and so used in Mirecourt violin making. However, such perfect violin timber is scarce today, making these antique violins highly sought after. Offered at a competitive price.
