About this model

The De Gregorio Yaqui Cajón is a Spanish-crafted percussion box built around FSC-certified Baltic Birch plywood throughout - 9 mm seven-ply for the sides and 6 mm five-ply for the back - with a 2.5 mm KoskiPly® Birch front plate finished in an Alpi® veneer and sealed with a double coat of satin polyurethane lacquer. Its snare system uses four independently tunable steel strings, allowing players to dial in snare response to their preference. A standout feature is the set of internal jingles mounted on the centre-post: these resonate during bass strokes to produce a combined bass-drum and brushed-snare character that gives the Yaqui a distinctly layered, musical voice. At 49 × 29 × 30 cm it sits at a standard playing height and is well suited to acoustic sessions, practice, and live performance.
