Taylor 615 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar – 1994 – USA Made – Mint Condition – Original Hard Case

For sale is my 1994 Taylor 615 Jumbo, a superb example of Taylor’s early USA production and a model that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition.

The 615 was the Jumbo model from Taylor’s premium 600 Series, combining a solid Sitka spruce top with highly figured maple back and sides. It has the big, powerful projection you would expect from a Jumbo, along with the clarity, definition and bright top end that maple-bodied Taylors are particularly known for.

The guitar has just had a professional setup, including a fret polish, and has been fitted with a fresh set of Elixir 12-gauge strings, so it is playing beautifully and is ready to go.

It has also been fitted with a Fishman under-saddle pickup, making it equally suitable for live use, rehearsals or recording while retaining the clean appearance of the guitar.

The guitar is in mint condition, particularly impressive considering it is now over 30 years old. It has clearly been extremely well looked after.

These older Taylor Jumbo guitars have a character of their own and are very different from much of Taylor’s current range. The large body gives it excellent volume and bass response while the maple keeps everything articulate, clear and balanced.
