Legendary Marshall 2555 head in classic black tolex – the rarer post-Silver Jubilee “Black Jubilee” / Custom Series version. 1988 UK production (W Serial code). Same highly sought-after circuit as the 1987 silver models that launched this legendary amp.

This is the exact model that helped define the tones of Slash, John Frusciante and Joe Bonamassa (and many more).

Switchable 100W / 50W (pentode/triode), three ECC83 preamp valves and four EL34 power valves, push/pull Output Master for channel switching, push/pull Input Gain for Rhythm Clip, classic Marshall EQ + Presence, effects loop, and the thick, harmonically rich, dynamic Jubilee voice that players still chase.

Great condition for its age – solid, well-looked-after example with the usual honest signs of use you’d expect on a nearly 40-year-old Marshall. Comes with a custom-made soft cover for the head to keep it protected.

Made in England. A proper vintage piece of Marshall history that’s becoming harder and harder to find, especially in the black livery. If you want that classic Jubilee sound – singing cleans, singing mid-gain crunch and massive singing lead tones – this is the real thing.
