The Mapex Falcon Bass Drum Pedal (PF1000 Series) is a versatile and highly adjustable pedal built around interchangeable drive systems - both chain and nylon strap drives are included, with a direct drive option available separately. Two cam hubs (round and offset) let players dial in the dynamic feel of the stroke, while interchangeable beater weights and adjustable beater angle give further control over response. The self-adjusting Talon hoop clamp features a rocker bar that accommodates rising bass drum angles without placing stress on the hoop. The reduced-size footboard includes stainless steel reinforcing inserts and a hinged heel plate running on sealed steel bearings, and the base plate uses a 'Suregrip' rubber-covered bottom with adjustable spurs for stability. The drive shaft is machined from stainless steel to minimise weight and drag.
