The monitors that helped make countless records sound right.

If you’re looking at this listing, I probably don’t need to explain what an NS-10 is.

The Yamaha NS-10M Studio is one of the most iconic passive nearfield monitors ever made. For decades they have been a familiar sight in professional recording and mixing rooms around the world — and for good reason.

These are the NS-10M Studio version, Made in Japan, with the horizontal Studio configuration, revised tweeter/crossover design and upgraded speaker terminals.

They are the real thing. No modern clone. No reproduction. Original Yamaha NS-10M Studios.

🔥 WHY NS-10Ms?

They’re not designed to make your mix sound beautiful.

They’re designed to tell you the truth.

That famously revealing midrange has made NS-10Ms a reference standard for engineers who want to hear whether vocals, guitars, snare, compression and the overall balance of a mix are actually working.

The legendary rule of thumb still applies:

If it sounds good on NS-10s, there’s a good chance it will translate.

And unlike many modern monitors, these are also a genuine piece of recording-studio history.

CONDITION

The speakers are in good vintage condition with the inevitable cosmetic marks, scratches and signs of use that come with equipment of this age.

I’ve photographed them extensively so you can judge the condition for yourself.

There are some scratches and marks to the cabinets, particularly around the edges and surfaces, but nothing that detracts from their iconic appearance or their intended use as professional studio monitors.

The important bit:

They are being sold as a complete original pair and are fully functional.

Please study all photographs carefully. The photos form an important part of the description.

🎚️ A PIECE OF RECORDING HISTORY

The NS-10 became synonymous with professional recording studios throughout the 1980s and 1990s and remained a reference monitor long after Yamaha discontinued production.

The NS-10M Studio was the later professional evolution of the design, introduced specifically for the studio market, with improved power handling and revised components.

These aren’t just old speakers.

They’re studio history.

And with Yamaha having discontinued the NS-10 range years ago, genuine original pairs are becoming increasingly difficult to find in honest, unmolested condition.

📦 COLLECTION ONLY

Because these are vintage studio monitors with substantial weight and delicate drivers, collection only is available.

THE SHORT VERSION

Legendary. Original. Japanese. Studio history.

If you’ve spent any time around professional recording studios, you’ve seen them.

If you’ve mixed on them, you’ll know exactly why they’re still sought after.

And if you’ve always wanted a genuine pair of NS-10M Studios in your own room…
