Beverley Cosmic 21 Vintage Snare Drum 1970 - very good condition

Bought a couple months ago, but not liking the sound of this snare as my room is untreated and the reflections are a bit too much. I've reverted back to my Black Panther Machete with dry heads to control the reflections.

Amazing sounding snare - and for good reason! (just not suited to my cramped room)

Beverley Cosmic 21 Vintage Snare Drum  14" x 5" - COA - very good condition for age

These were made in the UK in the 60s and 70s as almost direct copies of the world famous Ludwig Supraphonic and have an almost identical make up:

Thin seamless chrome on aluminium shell 

10 x double ended lugs

Triple flanged hoops

Internal muffler

Often called the 'British Supraphonic' - and of course they sound remarkably similar - listen to this very drum being played on YouTube by clicking on the link below, it sounds great! It has a lovely snap that cuts through, and great tone.

Apparently called the Cosmic 21 because they cost £21 at the time!

Condition:

There is some pitting and flaking to the chrome on the shell which you can see in the photos. This is very typical of these drums considering its age. It's date stamped 23rd October 1970 - so it's 55 years old!

Beverley logo intact - which is RARE

All original apart from the heads & snare wires.

I put brand new heads on the drum when I first bought it, which was a few years ago, but never got round to replacing the worn out snare wires until now. So the heads are virtually unused (apart from tuning the drum). Unfortunately the resonant head has a couple of small dents from when it was stored (see photo) but this doesn't affect the sound in any way.
