The NAD C 420 is a stereo AM/FM tuner built around a shielded MOSFET RF front end and a Sanyo LA7218/LA1837 chip set for PLL frequency synthesis. It offers up to 30 AM/FM station presets, with CMOS memory backed by a super-capacitor that retains presets for up to 30 days without mains power. FM usable sensitivity is 2.2µV in mono and 16µV in stereo, and the unit includes FM Mute/Mode and FM Blend functions to manage weak-signal reception. Connectivity covers stereo audio outputs with gold-plated shells, a +12V trigger jack, and NAD-Link input/output jacks for system integration, alongside standard AM and FM antenna connections. The cabinet measures 435mm W × 70mm H × 285mm D, fitting neatly into a standard rack or hi-fi shelf.
