For sale is a highly sought-after, original pair of passive Dynaudio BM5 studio monitors. Handcrafted in Denmark, these are the legendary original Mk1 cabinets famous for their clinical mid-range accuracy, smooth soft-dome tweeters, and signature Magnesium Silicate Polymer (MSP) woofers with pure aluminium voice coils.

Unlike modern active speakers built with cheap digital components, these passive cabinets offer the pure, uncoloured translation that made Dynaudio a staple in world-class recording and broadcasting studios.

Condition & History:

• Drivers & Sound: 100% fully operational. The woofers and tweeters are in fantastic condition and sound exactly as they should—punchy, natural, and incredibly detailed.
• Cosmetics: Well-loved and looked after in a home studio environment for the last 20 years. They show minor signs of cosmetic wear consistent with their age, but no major gouges or structural damage to the cabinets. You really won't find speaker this age in such good operating and cosmetic condition. (See pictures)
• Usage: They have been driven responsibly at sensible studio monitoring levels, never abused or pushed into clipping.

• Due to the substantial weight of the heavy internal magnets and cabinets, Collection Only is strongly preferred from the Southport / Merseyside area. This ensures they don't get damaged by couriers. Sorry, I'm using active speakers now, but if you bring your own power amp, I am happy to demonstrate them working upon collection.
