The Epiphone Casino has graced some of the worlds finest stages and in the hands of some of the greatest players and songwriters of the past century. When Gibson acquired Epiphone in 1957, it was seen as a strategic advantage to broaden Gibson's dealer network. Giving them the access to all retailers that had Epiphone exclusivity and enabling Gibson to produce similar instruments under different banners and sell to double to audience. Genius!
With the success of Gibson's 300 series and Gibson's ES-330, Epiphone began to follow suit, producing Sheraton's, Riviera's and the Casino. whilst the Casino was marketed as the intermediate model from Epiphone's range, one soon fell into the hands of a Beatle, then two Beatles, then three Beatles, and as they say - the rest is history.
This particular Cherry red ripper has seen some changes on it's journey to us: with a replacement bridge, pick guard, tuners and bridge pickup but is in wonderful playing condition with minimal signs of play wear for its age and some beuatiful lacquer checking to the finish.
It comes with a non-orignal, period correct hard case and our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
