1970-1973 Sound City 50R tube amp head and matching cabinet.
Refurbished, previous owner had not taken best care of it- new screws, cab input and thorough clean all done by myself.
Head is all original including reverb tank, 4 digit serial number dating it between 1970-73. Slight crackle on one pot.
Cab had a new input plate, screws and 2x HH DC80LW speaker, running parallel to 2x original sound city speakers.
Wear and tear from age all over, all cosmetic- mainly damage to tolex and small tears in the grille cloth.
Fantastic rock ‘n roll sound, crank up for nice fuzzy breakup or expressive clean tones. One of the coolest built in reverbs I’ve ever used.
May still need service from a professional hence price- same head alone sold on The Music Locker for £995.
Could sell cab/head separately if interested.
