This is a beautiful Rogers kit from the mid 60s golden Cleveland era of production. Flat grey interiors.
The kit is in great condition. The wrap is still vibrant (with some scuffs here and there) and the hardware is generally clean and all functions perfectly. There is some corrosion on the hoops (particularly the bottom floor tom hoop) and the bass drum hoops have some paint loss and a bit of missing inlay underneath. Some tension rods on the toms look to be unoriginal.
The drums sound incredible. The excellent, original edges and brilliant build of this era allow for a wide tuning range and dialling in quite contemporary sounds from the vintage drums, which were ahead of their time - much more versatile than other brands of the era.
I imported the kit from Ohio in the US a few years back at great expense - not far from the original factory, where they lived their lives.
