For sale: my 2014 Mesa Boogie King Snake amp.

Signed by Carlos Santana and Randall Smith inside the original combo cab, this is a very limited edition export model amp for the UK market and specifically made for 240V. 

I bought this new and it came from Mesa Boogie as a combo in a very unique faux snake skin tolex with cover and user manual. Very heavy and hugely loud too! You cannot find a drummer who will drown you out. Not even 10 drummers playing like John Bonham simultaneously!

 Very luckily, it can be switched from 100 Watts to 60 Watts and best of all 10 Watts all with the latter options plugged into the 4 ohm output and the 100 Watt at 8 ohm. It features the original Mark I single-channel layout with two distinct inputs—Input 2 for lower-gain traditional cleans and Input 1 for cascading high-gain saturation with a mid control that lunches the amp into a singing overdrive that is very reminiscent of Carlos Santana.

It was a re-issue of his original amp and hand signed by Carlos and Randall Smith, the head and founder of Mesa Engineering at the time.

It's a very rare amp with reportedly only 600 worldwide and very few for Europe and even less for the UK market - it is 240V.

Condition is just as I bought it with only slight marks on the bottom that you can't really see and I had Zilla make a nice unique ivory head shell specifically for it which I will include. As a head it has reverb too. I asked them to make it deep enough to take a tank so you can easily move the amp from head to combo format - the original untouched combo cab still has the original reverb tank as I bought a new one for the head as well as a Boogie badge.

I also replaced the quartet of 6L6GC output valves with as Mesa Red matched Tung-Sol set from Watford Valves and fitted those along with dampeners.

What you get is the original combo amp with a fresh set of matched 6L6GC with Mesa Spec blue bias and a Zilla head shell with separate correct reverb tank installed ready just to swap the chassis into if required.

I cannot post this unfortunately, it is just too heavy and I don't want it damaged in transit so it will be collection only from Edinburgh. I can travel around central Scotland if required.

I am selling because I have way too many amps and it is getting ridiculous.
