What it is:
An Ableton Instrument Rack for Suite users combining Sampler and Analog to approximate the signal flow of the Roland D-50 and its rackmount sibling the D-550 that features multi-sampled waveforms directly from vintage units.

How we use it:
Add instant ‘80s vibe with the icy cool electric pianos and chunky chorused guitar hits.

Why it’s cool:
The D-50 was one of the first synths to offer the signal flow that became the blueprint for ROMpler style synthesizers, which have since become widespread and fairly generic. The included PCM samples, chorus and reverb of the D-50 though are instant classics that nail ‘80s pop and New Age synth tones right out of the box.This free preview version is being released in honor of visionary Roland founder Ikutaro Kakehashi’s passing, and features three multi-sampled waveforms from the renowned ‘80s sound machine. Upgraded versions with more options and raw waveforms will be released soon.
