About this listing
This guitar has been meticulously maintained--stored in case with Boveda humidifier packs, fretboard and bridge treated, gently used and never played out. There are a couple of very small impressions just above and below the top-side of the bridge and a very small scratch in the finish, but they are only visible from certain angles and I was unable to photograph them in a useful way. There are also some light pick marks on the guard. There is no buckle rash or dings in the beautiful binding. This guitar looks great. Please note this is a smaller guitar (it's a grand concert), so be sure you understand the size to make sure this is what you're looking for. The YouTube link has a demo/review video that will give you a better idea of the size and sound. It's a beautiful 12-string that's priced under market value (this guitar listed for $2,899 new), so get it before it's gone.Guitar OverviewThis 2020 552ce V-Class 12-Fret Grand Concert 12-string acoustic-electric guitar features a Western Red Cedar top and a mahogany bottom, with Taylor’s V-Class bracing. The guitar’s slim neck profile and low action result in the most comfortable "hand feel" possible in a 12-string guitar. Refined aesthetic appointments add to the elegant charm, and the instrument ships the original Taylor deluxe hard shell case.Body ShapeTaylor's Grand Concert is a smaller sized guitar. Its intimate size and slightly condensed fret spacing makes it lap/couch-friendly, and a great fit for players who find smaller instruments more physically comfortable. Despite its smaller size, it has strong projection and sounds like a bigger instrument. Tonewood PairingThe guitar’s top is Western Red Cedar, which produces a warm, played-in sound. The back is tropical mahogany, which is known for a meaty midrange featuring and a clear and direct tonal character.ElectronicsThe 552ce includes Taylor’s Expression System 2 with patented behind-the-saddle pickup and professional-grade preamp, producing exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness.V-Class BracingTaylor's V-Class bracing is a fundamental innovation in acoustic guitar design, boosting volume, sustain, and producing clear, consistent intonation. V-Class bracing creates purer, more orderly notes that don't cancel each other out or sound “off.”
