The Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier 3-Channel is a massive 150-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head known for its crushing high-gain tone and room-shaking low end. Key Specifications and FeaturesPower Output: 150 watts of Class A/B powerTube Complement: Uses 6x 6L6 power tubes (swappable for EL34s), 5x 12AX7 preamp tubes, and rectifier tubes (typically 3x 5U4). Channels & Modes: Three independent channels featuring up to eight total voicing modes—ranging from clean and pushed sounds on Channel 1 to Raw, Vintage, and Modern high-gain settings on Channels 2 and 3. Rectifier Tracking: Switchable between tube tracking (for a spongy, organic feel) and silicon diode tracking (for a tighter, faster attack). Market Availability: You can check current listings or purchase options on the Reverb Product Page. Sound and PerformanceThe Triple Rectifier is famous in rock and metal history for its thick, saturated distortion. Channel 3 delivers an aggressive bite with boosted high-mids and heavy low-end. Because it has a relatively dry and massive response, many guitarists use an overdrive pedal (like an OD-808) in front of the amp to tighten up the low-end response for fast rhythm playing.
