Long scale length for tight soundsAs a modern baritone electric guitar, the X Series Soloist SLA6 DX has a long 26.5" scale length (673 mm), which ensures a tight response to every string even at abysmally low tunings. The full-length, graphite-reinforced maple neck offers excellent playing characteristics on the Indian Laurel fingerboard thanks to its flat "speed neck" profile and compound radius that flattens out toward the higher registers. Last but not least, an ergonomically designed Nyatoh body with wide Cutaways and an arched top completes Jackson's Soloist SLA6 DX Baritone. Active EMG pickupsAs a pickup for the X Series Soloist Baritone Jackson chooses two active humbuckers from EMG, which elicit a defined and extremely powerful sound from the guitar amplifier even at the lowest tuning. The EMG 85 humbucker in the neck position is equipped with Alnico magnets and convinces with a muscular, smooth lead tone and glassy cleans. In the bridge position, the EMG 81 ceramic pickup lives up to its legendary status and delivers sharply focused distortion sounds with crisp Attack and well-dosed aggressiveness in the mids and highs. A classic circuit with a 3-way blade switch for pickup selection and general volume and tone controls grants full control over the sound of the electric baritone guitar.
